The Town of Owego Highway Department has been out most of yesterday and all of Friday. They will be continuing to work throughout the weekend. We have received some assistance from the State of New York today as well. Most Town roads have seen at least one pass to help clear a path for traffic. We will continue to clear roads and push back the snow off the road throughout the weekend. We understand that the record amount of snow is causing difficulties in travel. We appreciate your continued patience.
If you experience a road emergency, please call the Sheriff’s Department at 607- 687-1010. All other emergencies should be directed to 911 as currently practiced. We expect Town offices to reopen Monday, December 21, 2020.

The Town of Owego is pleased to announce we have a NEW location for yard waste drop off. Beginning May 27, 2020 and continuing through October 17, 2020. Yard waste can be dropped off at the Town’s property located on Kuenzli Road in Apalachin on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
